This church web page
has an extract from the book and a picture of the scene. Note however that the illustration in the book shows the spiral as clockwise rather than anti-clockwise as it should be.

Personally I'm definitely good at heights and I declined to climb the outside of the tower - I regretted it afterwards, but now that I know that someone who is normally good with heights got vertigo I feel a bit better.
link

Dave

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14279610.post-69765615415772849892008-01-18T12:13:00.000+00:002008-01-18T12:13:00.000+00:00The roof vas destroid in 1807 but Nelson died in 1...The roof vas destroid in 1807 but Nelson died in 1805, good job.
Erling Poulsen, RundetaarnErling Poulsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16074597492837385209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14279610.post-1166042509912157302006-12-13T20:41:00.000+00:002006-12-13T20:41:00.000+00:00"was built in 1636, in brick and is circular.
